The "Doudoulas" is a custom that we meet in the village of Kimina. With this custom the farmers requested God for rain, in order that their grain will grow big. All the girls of the village were gathered, then make a scarecrow and put on it several plants. Afterwards the girls were divided by two, holding each others hands, and the first two of them were holding "Doudoulas". They danced and singed. |

In our question, “How the residents of our village had water in the old days and what kind of utensils they used?”, we decided to make a research in order to see what existed in the old days and what has remained up to today. We visited Mr. Michali’s house we saw the well in his courtyard, we were informed about its construction and operation. Then we saw utensils and tools that existed in his personal collection and in his courtyard. We recognized those we knew, we asked for those we did not know and we photographed the related objects that they used daily for water in the old days (pitchers, cauldron, jugs, flasks etc). Using some of them we represented a scene from the daily life in the old days. |
